IBO Update Concerning the China Virus

Due to the Ohio Governor’s “Stay at home order” which ceases all non-essential business and operations, the IBO office will be closed until April 7th or until the order is rescinded or modified to end at a sooner date.  If you have a question or need to contact our office, you can still call and leave a message, send us an Email or a message through our Facebook page and we will respond as soon as possible.

All of our National and World level events are still on, including the Spring National scheduled for April 17-19 in Wilmore, KY.  We have continued to plan for these events and keep things in motion throughout all of the uncertainty we have experienced over the last two weeks.  This is a very turbulent and evolving situation where new orders and restrictions are coming at us on a daily basis.  We are hopeful that the closures and travel restrictions will be relaxed in the coming weeks and things can start returning to normal.  No one knows what will happen tomorrow much less what will happen in the next three weeks or three months.  We will let everyone know if a decision to cancel a tournament is made, otherwise, we are operating as if all tournaments will go on as scheduled.

There have been some local qualifiers that have canceled and shooters are wondering how they will get qualified for the World Championship.  I can tell you that everyone will have an opportunity to qualify.  The way we will insure that opportunity depends on the depth at which this virus affects our tournament schedule.  It is way too early to speculate or delve into hypotheticals that try to cover every scenario that may lie ahead.  Our goal is to provide the opportunity to compete in our tournaments as long as our activities comply with the orders and restrictions that are applicable at the time of our events.

Please hang in there and look after one another until this uncertainty passes.  We will be there for you and provide the archery therapy you need as long as we are allowed to do so.  We will make sure to keep you updated on any announcements or changes to our schedule.

Be safe and God bless!
